Abstract

The documentary research on socio-emotional skills in early childhood education was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the contributions provided by studies on socio emotional skills in early education (2015–2024). The research is documentary in nature, since it was based on information collected and retrieved from 20 undergraduate and postgraduate theses from national and international university repositories with full virtual access. Likewise, two axes of analysis were established: didactic strategies and achievements obtained. Two instruments were also used: a bibliographic matrix and a hermeneutic matrix. In conclusion, the studies conducted between 2015 and 2024 show that socio-emotional development in early childhood education is mainly strengthened through playful, artistic, literary, and cooperative strategies. These promote self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills, while also contributing to a positive classroom climate and the integral well-being of children.
