Abstract
The documentary research work on fine motor coordination in 5-year-old children (2015-2024) is an academic document prepared to analyze the contributions offered by research on fine motor coordination in 5-year-old children. The methodology used was based on a qualitative and documentary approach based on information collected and retrieved from 20 master's, bachelor's, and second-specialty theses from the repository of licensed universities nationwide, with full virtual access. Likewise, two axes of analysis were proposed: teaching strategies for the development of fine motor skills and theoretical contributions. In recent years, various studies have shown that strategies such as play, origami, and graphic-plastic techniques strengthen fine motor skills in 5-year-old children. Furthermore, theories such as those of Ausubel, Vygotsky, Piaget, Bruner, and Kolb emphasize that motor development is not only biological but also social and cognitive. This evidence suggests that teachers should apply comprehensive approaches that promote exploration, creativity, and autonomy in the classroom. Keywords: Teaching strategies, fine motor skills, theoretical contributions.
