Abstract
Tuvo como objetivo analizar las contribuciones que ofrecen las investigaciones sobre los pictogramas en el desarrollo de habilidades comunicativas en la educación básica en Latinoamérica (2014-2023). Este documento presenta fundamentos teóricos desde diversas perspectivas, enriqueciendo el conocimiento del lector y proporcionando información sobre distintos sistemas de comunicación y la estrategia de los pictogramas. La revisión se realizó en dos ejes: uno sobre la metodología para la aplicación de los pictogramas y el otro sobre logros alcanzados al aplicar los pictogramas para desarrollar las habilidades comunicativas. Se concluye que la implementación de pictogramas en la educación inicial, mediante el uso de imágenes de cuentos, la construcción de imágenes, la creación de frases y textos coherentes, la elaboración de guías con imágenes contextualizadas y la lectura de imágenes de cuentos infantiles, permite el desarrollo de habilidades comunicativas. Asimismo, la incorporación de actividades multisensoriales, proyectos colaborativos, murales interactivos, cuentos personalizados y el uso de aplicaciones digitales educativas promueven el desarrollo integral de estas habilidades en los niños.
Aimed to analyze the contributions offered by research on the use of pictograms in the development of communicative skills in basic education in Latin America (2014-2023). This document presents theoretical foundations from various perspectives, enriching the reader's knowledge and providing information on different communication systems and the strategy of using pictograms. The review was conducted based on two main aspects: one focused on the methodology for the application of pictograms and the other on the achievements attained through the use of pictograms in developing communicative skills. It concludes that the implementation of pictograms in early education, through the use of story images, image construction, the creation of coherent phrases and texts, the development of guides with contextualized images, and the reading of images from children's stories, facilitates the development of communicative skills. Furthermore, the incorporation of multisensory activities, collaborative projects, interactive murals, personalized stories, and the use of educational digital applications promotes the integral development of these skills in children.
