Abstract
The present documentary research aimed to analyze studies carried out on instructional strategies oriented toward the development of scientific inquiry in Early Childhood Education students over the past ten years in Peru. The methodology employed was qualitative in approach, focusing the analysis on two main axes: the instructional strategies used to promote scientific inquiry and the achieved results following their implementation. It began with the collection of 20 theses submitted for the degree of professor, bachelor’s degree, licentiate, and postgraduate theses from freely accessible university repositories, as well as from libraries, using a bibliographic matrix and hermeneutic analysis as instruments. The results revealed that the most frequently used strategies in the studies analyzed were programs (30 %) and experiments (25 %). Among the most effective didactic strategies, four stood out: a Program based on the Scientific Method, Discovery Learning, Fun Experiments, and the Experimental Strategies Program. These strategies succeeded in enabling 100 % of the students to develop scientific inquiry skills through innovative learning activities.
