Abstract
This documentary work was developed to analyze the contributions that research on short stories offers to the development of oral communication during the years 2015-2024. Information was collected from the repositories of universities and a public higher education school, licensed with full online access. Two axes of analysis were proposed: achievements of the applied teaching strategies and measurement of oral communication. A bibliographic record and a hermeneutical matrix were used as instruments. Of the 20 studies analyzed, it was found that 11 used the scales "Beginning (B), Process (P), Expected Achievement (A), and Outstanding Achievement." Nine of the most effective teaching strategies for oral communication stood out. They are diverse, but the one that demonstrated a high percentage of effectiveness and efficiency was the Pedagogical Program of Storytelling and Playful Experience of Traditional Stories. In nine other theses, the authors used a scale (low, medium, high, or very high); the most effective and efficient strategy being collaborative storytelling workshops. Additionally, the dimensions, techniques, and measurement instruments used by various authors to assess oral communication are described.
