Abstract
The documentary work on coordinative abilities in basic education students is an academic study developed with the purpose of analyzing the contributions provided by research conducted between 2016 and 2025. The study follows a qualitative and documentary approach, as it is based on information collected and extracted from 20 undergraduate, doctoral, and specialization theses from repositories of accredited universities across Latin America with full virtual access. Two main axes of analysis were established: achievements related to didactic strategies aimed at improving coordinative abilities, and the results obtained from the implementation of these strategies. Two instruments were used for data analysis: a bibliographic record and a hermeneutic matrix. In conclusion, the analysis identified nine strategies as the most effective for enhancing coordinative abilities, including gymnastic exercises, Nanquan – a Wushu discipline, technical fundamentals of basketball, the application of traditional games, the “Los Cracks” workshop, sensorimotor training, a recreational games program, and a physical conditioning program. These strategies stand out for fostering motor development and improving coordination, balance, laterality, and motor perception in students. Regarding the results achieved, gymnastic exercises were the most effective, with a 93.00% success rate, followed by Nanquan – Wushu discipline with 89.00%. In third place were technical fundamentals of basketball and traditional games, both with 85.00%, demonstrating significant improvements in students’ essential motor skills, coordination, balance, and body control.
