Abstract
This report focuses on volleyball receiving, which is quite challenging to master. Through a study of training strategies, we seek to understand how this skill can be strengthened in physical education classes. Our objective is to review the findings of research conducted between 2015 and 2024 and what insights they offer for improving receiving. The methodology used was qualitative and based on a review of the literature. To this end, we analyzed national and international research published over the last ten years, consulting various online repositories. The study was structured around two main axes: on the one hand, training strategies specifically aimed at improving reception; and on the other, the instruments, dimensions, and indicators used to evaluate it. The findings show that the most effective are not only technical exercises, but also those practices that bring into play coordination, body control, and the ability to respond in situations similar to a real game. With regard to evaluation, the majority of tools used are practical, such as checklists, observation sheets, technical tests, and questionnaires. Finally, it is suggested that educational institutions integrate more consistent volleyball programs into their physical education classes. Theory alone is not enough: including pre-sports games, recreational activities, coordination exercises, and game simulations helps students learn, enjoy themselves, and, above all, truly improve.
