Abstract
This research aimed to verify the effect of the application of playful techniques for the development of the notion of seriation in 5-year-old children. It was carried out with a quantitative approach, it is an applied research and a quasi-experimental design was used. The sample consisted of 21 children from the "Grapes" section (experimental group) and 22 children from the mandarin section (control group). The techniques used were documentary analysis, recording and evaluation, and academic documents, textual and bibliographic files, tests (pre-test and post-test) were used as instruments, which allowed the evaluation of serialization. The result of the pre-test shows that 90.5% of the children were beginning to develop their notion of seriation. However, in the post-test it was found that 85.7% improved their notion of serialization, obtaining the expected achievement. Therefore, it is concluded that playful techniques significantly develop the notion of seriation in 5-year-old children of IEI No. 172 "María Encarnación Loja Vásquez" – Moyobamba - 2023.
