Abstract
The objective of this research was to test the influence of rhyming stories on improving oral expression in 5-year-old children at Educational Institution 00659 - Moyobamba. The research was quantitative and applied, and was conducted with a population of 48 5-year-old children. The instrument used was a 14-item observation guide, validated by expert judgment. Reliability was obtained based on Cronbach's alpha, which was 0.84. The hypothesis was tested with the Student t-test, confirming that rhyming stories significantly influenced improving children's oral expression. Since around 83.32 percent obtained a good achievement level and 16.67 percent an excellent achievement level, with an arithmetic average of 40.04, results that are reflected in the correct pronunciation and intonation of words with naturalness and ease in dialogue, without obstacles or interruptions and with great security and confidence; clarity, good articulation of words, and coherence in their ideas following a logical order. According to probabilistic estimates with a margin of error of 5 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent, alpha = 0.05 bilateral and five degrees of freedom, using alpha over two, the acceptance of the Alternative Hypothesis was determined, verifying the effectiveness of rhyming stories for the development of oral expression in five year-old children of Educational Institution Number 00659 "Francisco Tejada Rojas" Moyobamba, 2023.
